Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony of ECM28 will be held at 18:00 on Sunday 25th August 2013, and will feature welcomes from the ECA President and other honoured guests. Click here for more information.


Young Crystallographers Mixer

A Mixer for Young Crystallographers will take place from 19:00 on Tuesday 27th August 2013 in Bar Fusion in the Rootes Building.

The Mixer is open to delegates who qualify for membership of the European Young Crystallographers Group. This includes not only students but postdoctoral fellows and other younger scientists up to an age limit of 35 years. Refreshments will be provided.

Gala Dinner

The ECM28 Gala Dinner will take place on 28th August 2013, in the Panorama Suite of the Rootes Building at Warwick University. The dinner will take place at 19.30 for 20.00 start. We are delighted to announce entertainment will be provided by ThingumaJig Ceilidh Band. Click here for more information.

Closing Ceremony

The ECM28 Closing Ceremony (ECM28 Chair/ECA President) will take place from 18:30 on Thursday 29th August 2013 in the Butterworth Hall. The Ceremony will feature an overview of ECM28 (ECM28 Chair), the awarding of ECM28 Poster Prizes (ECA Vice-President/ECM28 Poster Prize Coordinator) and an invitation to ECM29 in Rovinj, Croatia, 23–28 August 2015 (Marijana Ðakovi?, ECM29 Committee).

Post Conference Excursion

A post-conference excursion to visit Diamond Light Source and the ISIS neutron facility in Harwell has been organised. More details are available here.
